General
Are you licensed to fly commercially in Canada?
We operate under Transport Canada RPAS regulations and follow safe flight protocols for every job. If a specific mission or location requires additional coordination or credentials, we’ll confirm that upfront before booking. Proof of insurance and credentials is available on request.
Where do you operate? Do you travel outside Victoria?
Greater Victoria is included. We also cover Vancouver Island with travel fees outside the core zone. Ferries, paid access, permits, and parking are pass-through costs at cost.
How far in advance should I book?
Real estate and inspections are often available within a few days. For tourism and larger projects, plan 1–2 weeks ahead when possible.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. If conditions aren't safe or suitable (wind/rain/visibility), we reschedule. One weather reschedule is included; additional reschedules may have a fee.
Do you fly anywhere? What about airports and restricted airspace?
Not everywhere. Some locations have airspace restrictions or require additional coordination. I do a pre-flight airspace check for every request and will confirm feasibility (or propose alternatives) before booking.
Do you need access to the property?
Usually yes — at minimum, a safe takeoff/landing spot and clear property boundaries. For roof/property reports, I may also need access to the yard or driveway for best angles.
Do you require a spotter or someone on site?
Sometimes. Depending on the site and scope, we may request a visual observer or on-site contact to support safe operations. We’ll confirm requirements in advance.
What if you arrive and the flight isn’t possible?
Pre-checks prevent most issues, but if we can’t fly due to airspace, unsafe conditions, or lack of access, we’ll either reschedule or adjust the scope to what’s feasible. A minimum site fee may apply if the issue was avoidable (e.g., no access, incorrect address, site not ready).
Do you fly at twilight or at night?
Twilight/blue hour shoots may be possible when conditions and regulations allow. We’ll confirm feasibility per location and date.
Will the drone fly over neighbours or capture people?
We minimize overflight and avoid capturing identifiable individuals when it’s not necessary. For busy areas, we’ll propose safer angles/times or decline the flight if it can’t be done responsibly.
How do I book?
Submit the contact form with the address and service type. I'll confirm feasibility, propose a time window, and send a booking confirmation and payment link (if required).
What are your payment terms?
Real estate & inspections: payment due on delivery (or Net 7 if agreed in advance for brokerages/partners).
Tourism & larger projects: 50% deposit to book, balance due before final delivery.
Do you charge GST/PST?
Yes. Prices are before taxes.
What's included in revisions?
One light revision round is included (minor timing trims, small color tweaks, simple text). Additional revisions are billed.
Who owns the footage? Can I use it anywhere?
You receive a non-exclusive license to use the final deliverables for web/social/MLS/marketing for 3 years. Resale/transfer requires written permission. Raw footage is not included unless purchased. Paid ads/broadcast/stock usage can be supported when requested, but may require specific licensing and/or an adjusted quote.
Do you provide RAW photos or unedited footage?
Optional add-on. Most clients prefer the edited deliverables because they're ready to publish.
How long do you keep backups?
We retain backups for a limited period. If you need longer-term archival storage, ask about an archival add-on.
Do you work on weekends or after hours?
Sometimes, depending on availability and daylight/weather. Twilight/blue hour shoots are available as an add-on when combined with a day shoot.
Real Estate
What do I receive for real estate packages?
MLS-ready and web-ready edited aerial photos, plus an edited highlight video when included. You'll receive files sized for MLS and separate exports optimized for social/web.
How fast is turnaround for listings?
Typically 24–48 business hours after the shoot (weather permitting).
Can you coordinate with my interior photographer?
Yes. We can coordinate a same-day schedule with your photographer or connect you with a vetted partner for an interior + aerial bundle.
Do you add branding, captions, or agent intro?
Simple text overlays are available (optional). On-camera agent intros or advanced motion graphics are not included unless quoted.
Can you shoot neighborhood amenities (parks, ocean, walkability shots)?
Yes — "neighborhood B-roll" is available as an add-on, subject to airspace and time.
Do you deliver MLS-friendly files (size/compression requirements)?
Yes. If your brokerage has specific MLS specs, send them and we’ll export accordingly.
Roof / Property Reports (Visual Documentation)
Is this a certified roof inspection?
No. It's visual documentation only. I provide high-resolution images and an annotated PDF report, but I do not provide structural certification, code compliance sign-off, or repair recommendations as an inspector/engineer.
What's included in the roof/property report?
A detailed photo set (typically 20–25 images) plus a branded PDF report with labeled photos and an annotated findings table (where applicable).
What kinds of properties do you cover?
Homes, multi-unit buildings (where feasible), garages/outbuildings, commercial roofs, and hard-to-reach exterior areas. Multi-structure or large sites can be quoted as a bundle.
Can you document storm damage for insurance?
Yes — this is a common use. I can focus on specific areas of concern and provide clear labeled documentation. Claim outcomes are determined by your insurer.
Do you do solar panel inspections?
Visual checks only (no thermal/hotspot testing unless explicitly offered in the future). If you want close-up documentation of panels, select the solar add-on.
Do you provide measurements (roof square footage, slopes, etc.)?
Not as part of the standard report. If you need measurement-based deliverables, that's a separate scope and may require additional tools/partners.
Can you share the report directly with my roofer/strata/insurer?
Yes, with your written confirmation.
Construction & Development
What is "construction progress" used for?
Progress documentation for owners, investors, reporting, marketing updates, and keeping remote stakeholders aligned without repeated site visits.
How do you keep shots consistent month to month?
We use repeatable angles/altitudes and a consistent shot list so changes are easy to compare.
What do I receive each visit?
A fixed-angle photo set (typically 12–20 images) and a short recap video (45–60s), delivered within 48 business hours.
Can you add labels or overlays (lot lines, phase markers, arrows)?
Yes — optional add-on (client provides plan drawings or references if needed).
Can you create an end-of-project timelapse?
Yes — available as an add-on and scoped based on the duration and the number of visits.

What's the difference between a Social Teaser and a Destination Short?
Social Teaser is a fast, short promo designed for quick posting and immediate impact. Destination Short is a more cinematic hero piece with more editing time and a stronger story arc.
Do you include licensed music?
Yes — we use properly licensed music for commercial use in the final edit.
Can you include ground footage (gimbal shots, walk-throughs)?
Yes — available as an add-on or via collaboration depending on the scope. This helps create a more cinematic result than aerial-only.
How many revisions are included for promo videos?
One light revision round. Additional revisions or major creative changes are billed.
Can you deliver vertical videos for Reels/TikTok/Shorts?
Yes — vertical cuts are available as add-ons or included in certain packages.

For ground-only photo/video work, we typically deliver those projects under Eventia Media. If you’re booking a drone package, ground footage can be added when it improves the story.
